Celebrate at Brookside

Only Members of Brookside Swim Club may host a party during normal operating hours.
  1. To reserve a party (10 – 30 people) please fill out a party reservation form available in the office.  You can also download the form by clicking here.
  2. Return the completed form to the Manager on duty during regular business hours (at least 7 days prior to the party date) with a $50 non-refundable party reservation fee.
  3. Be sure to include the date, start and end time of the party and the number of anticipated guests, including all potential non-members.
  4. There is an $9 per person charge for all party guests, both swimming and non-swimming.
  5. Party reservations are subject to availability. The Manager will confirm your party date within 72 hours of receiving the party reservation form. If for any reason your request is denied, your reservation fee will be refunded.
  6. $50 to rent 1/2 of the pavilion with a max of 30 people.
  7. $100 for the whole pavilion with a max of 60 people.

Party Policies

  • Parties are NOT allowed on holidays (Memorial Day, Fourth of July & Labor Day) or on weekends in July.
  • The fee for non-members is $9 per person.
  • A party is a gathering such as a birthday party, anniversary party, sports team party, graduation party, reunions etc. or any group of people that includes 10 or more non-members.
  • A party is a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 non-members. The host MUST submit a list of all non-member attendees to the office 24 hours before the party begins. (Including parents of children that are staying)
  • All parties may last up to three hours.
  • A maximum of 2 parties may be held at Brookside at the same time with no more than 30 guests each or 1 party of 60 guests.
  • Parties will be located on the Pavilion. Only 2 may occur at the same time. The party that books first gets first choice to pick their location on the pavilion.
  • All party guests must adhere to the rules of the swim club, including, but not limited to:
    • NO GLASS of any kind!
    • NO SMOKING or vaping
    • All guests must check in at the front window.
    • No food or drink at pool’s edge or in the pool.
    • Parents are required to bring their own proper flotation device (“swimmies”) for all children who cannot swim back and forth across the entire length of the pool (50 yards) and MUST accompany them in the main pool.
  • No DJ or outside music of any kind.
  • No outside cooking appliances are allowed.
  • Party activities are conducted at the discretion of the manager.
  • You must be cleaned up and ready to leave by 8:00pm.
  • If cleanup is not reasonable and sufficient, there will be a $25 fee.
  • Parties will small children utilizing the baby pool will require an additional lifeguard, $45 for 3 hours.

Adult Guests

  • If you are serving alcohol, as the host, it is your responsibility to make sure your guests are over 21 and consuming alcohol
    responsibly. Please do not let anyone drink and drive.
  • No Glass bottles
  • No underage drinking
  • If guests become belligerent or a danger to themselves and/or others, any staff or board member reserves the right to ask people to
    leave.
  • The Manager has final say
***Remember that the club belongs to its members. Please be courteous to the members of Brookside when hosting your party to ensure that everyone at the pool has a safe and enjoyable day. Thank you and have a wonderful party!***

Private Parties may be hosted by members or non-member organizations

  • Brookside Swim Club may be booked for a private party with a $100 deposit. Please discuss dates with the Manager before planning the party
    because dates for these parties are very limited.
  • There is a $500 fee to reserve the entire facility for up to 125 guests. $600 for 125-250 guests with 250 being the maximum guests allowed.
  • Lifeguard fees will be extra and payable to Raritan Valley YMCA.
  • Parties must begin by 7pm and end by 11pm. Please note: there is a Milltown ordinance stating, ‘no loud music after 11pm’.
  • No kegs are allowed.
  • Parties with children under 17 years old must have one chaperone for every 15 kids.
  • Waivers must be signed by all guests
  • Private parties must follow the same pool rules as regular parties.
